Fish egg roast (Meen Mutta Roast)


Hi ,
Today I like to share with you a simple and tasty fish egg roast recipe. Thanks to my husband who lets me do all the experimenting on him which encourages me to try new recpes each time.

Ingredients (serves 2)
Fish eggs -1/4 kg
Shallots -6
Green Chillies -2
Ginger garlic paste - 2 teaspoon
Chilly powder - 11/2 teaspoon
Turmeric powder -1/4 teaspoon
Pepper Powder -1/4 teaspoon
Salt as per taste
Oil for frying
Curry leaves

Method of preparation
Marinate fish eggs with chilly powder,salt and turmeric powder and keep for ten minutes.Heat oil in a pan. Splutter mustard seeds.Then add the chopped onionsand curry leaves.Make a paste of ginger,garlic and green chillies and add to it and saute well.Now add the marinated fish eggs and saute. Add pepper powder and salt and mix well.Cook for ten minutes and stir in between . When it is done remove from flame and serve with rice or chapathi.
